CAFE-AIMA China Asset Management Industry Seminar Successfully Held in London

CAFE UK and the London-based Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) jointly held a seminar on China's asset management industry in London on May 17, 2016. The seminar was held at the London headquarters of Clifford Chance, an internationally renowned law firm, and hosted by its partner, Ms. Maggie Zhao. Mr. Jin Xu, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, delivered a speech, and Dr. Wang Changnan, President of CAFE UK, and Mr. Wu Fan, Managing Director of the Alternative Investment Management Association in China, introduced their respective associations. More than 100 professionals from the financial sectors of China and the UK attended the seminar.
The Alternative Investment Management Association aims to provide cross-regional asset management consulting services to asset managers around the world. It currently has more than 1,500 member units worldwide, managing and operating funds of up to US$1.5 trillion. This seminar is the first cooperation between CAFE and AIMA in London.
Mr. Chen Zhiling, Head of Quantitative Investment Department of China Suzaku Investment Company, and Mr. Hu Ligang, Director of Product Development Department of Southern Capital Company, respectively introduced the current status and future development trends of private equity and public equity funds in China.
